Moel Penderyn is the hill you see in front of the farmhouse and has some spectacular views.

The walk consists of some steep parts but you have the advantage of "passing" the Red Lion! Stout footware is advisable!

Walk carefully along the main road towards the village. After a few hundred yards, turn right and continue up the hill passing the Red Lion pub. (Google map under Pubs and Restaurants.)

Continue past the pub and bear right passing a farm on your right. (Look out for the peacocks!)

Continue up the road until it turns sharp right. Take the bridlepath onto the mountain.

Climb the stile on the right and climb up the hill.
(An easy way is to continue along the bridlepath until the height to the ridge is far less.)

You can descend down the other side but more caution is needed.
